Wedding & Event Catering Prices

We know price is one of the first three questions on every couple’s mind, so here is a straightforward answer rather than a reason to call.

What a plate costs

A barbecue-style menu, two courses, starts from £57.50 per head plus VAT. A seated three-course wedding breakfast starts from £62 per head plus VAT. Both include tea and coffee to finish, and both are inclusive of the food itself and our own serving staff. Every price on this page is quoted plus VAT.

Where your final figure lands within that range depends on the menu you choose, your guest number and the season. We will always give you an exact quote once we know those, rather than a guess dressed up as one.

What sits outside the per-head price

Equipment hire is quoted separately, because not every wedding needs the same kit. As a guide: full place-setting hire, meaning crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen, runs at £12 per head plus VAT, and hire of the outdoor cooking kitchen itself is £7 per head plus VAT. Above 80 guests there is a further equipment charge of £150 plus VAT to cover the additional kit a bigger day needs.

Booking and payment

A non-refundable deposit of £500 plus VAT secures the date. Six months before the event, 50% of the quoted total falls due. The balance is due six weeks before, which is also the point at which final numbers are confirmed — so the last invoice reflects the guest count you actually have rather than the one you estimated a year earlier.

Tastings

Tastings are held at The Outlook at Fox’s Marina, our own café and restaurant on the water at Ipswich. Up to six guests are welcome. We charge £50 plus VAT per guest, payable before the tasting, and we refund the wedding couple or main bookers — up to two people — if you go on to book us.

You choose two options for each course, depending on the style of menu, and everything is served in full portions exactly as it would be on the day. Afterwards the chef and our operations manager go through each dish with you in detail, so the menu ends up built around what you actually liked rather than what happened to be on the list.

Getting an exact figure

Every wedding is different, and a number on a page can only ever be a starting point. Tell us your guest count, your venue and the style of food you have in mind, and we will come back with a proper, itemised quote rather than a range.
